Can I change fuel pump on side of rd without to much drama and what tools or jacks would I need cos have been told I got 2 drop fuel tank but then got told I dont. Just cos my daughter broke down in middle of nowhere and have to do job on side of rd. Im good with cars but never done a 1996 vs statesman fuel pump or know where its situated.

It is an in tank fuel pump, access is from rear of tank in front of diff, not what I would be wanting to do on the side of the road, try giving the base of the tank a good thump with your fist while you try and start it, it may fife up the pump enough to get you home, if you have to do it on the road side, just be aware of the fuel return line which you have to undo and re attach in the tank opening, it is a pain to do at the best of times.
