I have 1996 chevy pickup half ton. It starts and idels fine. It drives fine but everyonce in a while the truck will just die and you have to start it right back and go again. I was told to replace the air control modual and did but it still is doing the same thing. Any suggestions on what it could be?

We check fuel-pump it is showing good. We replaced the air control module. But it is still doing it. We ran a computer diagonostic and it did not show anything wrong. So we are wondering if it is the fuel filter?

What was the fuel pressure readings when you checked it? To rule out the fuel filter you have to check the pressure before and after the filter

Hi, mine is a 1993 GMC Sierra 1500, it just started doing the same thing out of nowhere, I will start it, all is well then in the middle of driving, it just completely shuts off, only thing left on is the battery light on the dash. It will usually start back up, but today it took a little bit of effort. What is going on? Does anyone know?

Check the fuel pressure right after the problem occurs. Check to make sure the plugs are getting spark. Check to make sure the fuel tank pickup is being clogged with some sort of debris in the tank.
