with headlights on i turn key and lights don't even dim. where should i look first ?

If the lights don't dim, start at the starter relay.

someone said check starter relay. this car doesn't have one that i know of.

OK--OTHER THAN A BAD NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH (IF IT HAS ONE) OR OTHER "SAFETY CRAP" BETWEEN THE IGN SWITCH AND RELAY/ SOENOID/ ETC
