I have a 1996 Chevy PU. It will not start. I have spark to the cylinders. I have fuel to the fuel metering module. The fuel meter is integral with the injectors all located in the intake manifold. How can I determine if it is the fuel meter or the Engine Control Module? Maybe neither? Help. Thank you

There is a fuel pressure test port near the back of the engine. You need to test the fuel pressure using an accurate gauge. This engine is very pressure sensitive and has to have a minimum of 55 PSI to run.

Does your check engine light come on for bulb test when the key is first turned on?

I would also check for stored trouble codes. At some point we will have top test for injector pulse and that may be difficult for you with this particular engine.

Thank you for the response. The check engine light comes on and goes out as advertised. Having trouble with codes since it is an old OBD 1 system. What is involved with the injector pulse test? All of the injectors are hidden in the intake manifold. The wires come from the engine computer entering the meter through a plug. Do they just pass through the meter to the injectors or is there electrical switching that takes place in the meter?
