I have replaced my thermostat an water pump already so I know its not those two. My fans are working fine. But when I drive my car it will start to get hot an raise up to the line before the red line and maybe run like that for a few seconds then cool back off. An when it does that I lose heat but it comes back when the car cools itself down. Me an my dad have tried to bleed air out of the system to already but that has not seemed to help any. Also my car would only get hot one time while I decide to drive it an ill pull over open a bleeder screw an let hot air out then when I get back in the car it drives fine.

It sounds like you still have air in the system. GM cars can be a bear to bleed. Leave the cap, top off coolant, start car, turn on the heat, let it warm up to operating temp, *begin raising the rpm to 3500 and hold it for 5 seconds, let it idle for 2 minutes, pop open bleeder valve till solid flow of coolant comes out, check coolant level.* (Repeat the steps highlighted at least 5 times. Until you get heat at idle.) Then let it sit with the cap off till it is completely cooled off. Then top off coolant and put cap back on. Start it and let it run to operating temperature and have heat at idle. Drive and check for overheating.
