We recently took daughter bmw convertible to have too replaced. Car ran fine drive home from repair and next day car would not start tried jumping battery nothing. Then repair guy directly hooked up fuel pump and said worked fine but thought it was a computer relay sensor so we replace this bit still nothing. It will turn over but not start. Can not hear fuel pump engaging but they swear its good. Can u help?

You need to check to see if there is fuel pressure at the fuel rail on the engine. There are directions on our homepage under the DIY section. You will need a fuel pressure gauge, but most parts stores will lend you one. Check that first so we can confirm the fuel pump is actually doing its job. If it is, you need to check for spark to the spark plugs. There is also a DIY for doing that on our home page.

Check those and let me know what you find.
