MAF

I had a bad MAF unit om my 95 Pontiac Firebird and could not afford to get one so I ran her without it.Well just installed a new MAF unit today and she does not like it if I plug it in and try to start her she bogs down but if I start her and then plug it in she's fine, but was running about 55mph on the local hwy and she bogged out I had to pull over and unplug the unit.I'm at a total loss as to why she does not like the new part.

Disconnect the battery to erase all the adaptive memory from the computer and let it relearn.
