I have been having trouble for a while with my car starting then wanting to die and not idle. Sometimes it dies when I make a turn or slow down and sometimes it is fine. This morning I started it up and it died immediately but when I tried to start it again it won't start. I don't think it is the battery because there seems to be plenty of power to the dash lights and radio. It also does not make a clicking noise like it may be the battery. I doesn't really make a noise at all. I moved the shifter back and fourth a couple of times because I know sometimes there can be a problem in there. That didn't work. When I parked it yesterday it was fine. Do you have any suggestions? Unemployed and can't afford to take it anywhere.

I'd use a digital multimeter across battery posts, everything off. The generic spec for a full charge is around 12.6 volts.
Also, check the purple wire at the starter solenoid S terminal, should be hot with key in the crank position. The info I looked at was for cutlass ciera 3.1L engine. Note the diagram.
