I hate a 1995 jeep grand cherokee larado 6 cyl. I have a small pinehole size gas leak leaking from the braided line fitting right under my drive door. My question would be is it in issue if I cut out the braded line section n replace it with solid steel fuel line with 2 pressure cupplings at each end. A friend of mine said that it might have to be braided because the jeep goes up and down with the suspension. At the top of the motor its starts out braided then goes to a solid line then back to braided underneither were its leaking and then back into solid fuel line. So should use braided line or can I use teh solid fuel line?

A pic would help alot. The motor does move relative to body and from experience they may have decided to put flex line there? Or it's just a design choice for more trouble free maintenance?
