Broken Sensor by Distributor

I am trying to figure out what the name of the sensor is that is broken on my car it is green and is right next to the distributor. Screws right into the engine and is bunched up with the plugs that also plug into the distrubutor

That is the V-TEC spool valve pressure switch.

is it bad if i drive without it plugged in or can i manage a few days till i get paid

It is ok to drive without it plugged in but the Check Engine Light would be indicating and you would have performance issues.
