Have a 95' dodge ram 1500 4x4 with the 360 magnum. the oil pressure keeps going up and down and then just starts staying really low, and sometimes will kinda stutter and you have to let go of the gas and slowly get back into it.

There is only about 132,000 miles on it. There is also an oil leak, I believe it is the rear main seal leaking, not fore sure though. I was wondering if it could the the oil pump causing these problems or something else? thank you for any information you can give me.

to get the oil pump checked, is that what you meant? if so do I have to pull it out for that? and the oil sender(?) could be at fault?
