Just freshened up a 2.0 dodge neon motor ready to place back into vehicle. Will it take a considerably long time to fire up. Does computer have to be re flashed?

Do you have to mash gas pedal 3 times and then crank motor. Or just refasten the pcm to motor and start car in normal fashion

I have never hear of having to mash the pedal. It couldn't hurt but I do not see what it sould do. The throttle position sensor should be calibrated before you start the car and that is the only throttle issue to worry about.
Put the ECU ion before you connect the battery and go through procedure and all should be well.
