1995 Chevrolet Silverado truck won't shut off

We replaced the ignition, it started and turned off just fine. Three days later we start it and then turned the key. Off The engine stayed on and even with the steering wheel. Out Of the truck the dash lights stay on.

It sounds like the ignition switch has failed or the mechanize leading to the switch is malfunctioning. Please disassemble to recheck the previous job and let us know what you find.
