Sorry for the mistake. Our DIY link only provides a brief explanation of the problem.

Our database indicates it is a fault with the MAP sensor.

If you would like to have the diagnostic procedures, let me know.

DTC 31 - MAP SENSOR SIGNAL

MAP sensor detects the intake manifold absolute pressure as a voltage. ECM determines basic injection duration and basic ignition advance angle based on this voltage. DTC 31 sets when there is an open or short in MAP sensor circuit for .5 second or more. Check for an open or shorted MAP sensor circuit, a faulty MAP sensor or ECM.

If MAP is not functioning correctly, you would have driveability and performance problems with erratic idling and stalling.

With wire harness connected.

Only testing would be able to tell you what is wrong.

It could be a loose or contaminated MAP wire connector.

I've try to switch the MAP sensor with another car which dont have error code 32 on it and also unplug the fuse of (EFI or F-HTR)for few minutes then plug it back follow by jumper test and still getting flash 32.Did my way of clearing the error code in the ECM correct? Will that mean I've to change my ECM?
