In the last week, my mpg has gone from 20 to 10

In the last week, my mpg has gone from 20 to 10. When I get up to between 45 to 55mph, it starts lurching, and if I shift to fifth, with the pedal to the floor, it doesnt accelerate or get higher than 2200rpms. What do you think?

No. But if I go to a professional with a computer scanner, I would probably just talk to him.
