Dodge Ram Fuel pressure Problem

I hae a 1994 dodge ram 1500 5.9 gas. Vehicle seems to run fin in town but when I get on the highway it starts to cut out after about 10 minutes. I can pull over and shut it off or leave it idling. After few minutes i start it up again and it will run rough at first and then seems to clear up. I get back on the highway again and it wll start to miss again and of course loss of power. It has never totally shut down. Any help would be appreciated

I'd throw a fuel pressure gauge on it and hook it under the right wiper arm so you can watch it while you're driving. If you start to lose pressure when the problem occurs, the first suspect would be a plugged pickup screen attached to the fuel pump housing.
