i get a click when i try to start car and the
lights don't dim when i try. is it the starteR? battery is 6 months old and terminals are clean

If the lights don't dim, power isn't getting to the starter. To double check, try this. Have a helper turn the key to the start position while you check for power to the smaller wire on the starter. If should get 12 volts in the start position. If it does, the starter is the problem. If there is no power, check the starter relay in the relay block under the hood.

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. I KNOW HOW TO CHANGE A STARTER AND I WILL CHECK THE STARTER WIRE IN HTE MORNING. I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THE RELAY BLOCK UNDER THE HOOD IS.
