1993 Mitsubishi Eclipse Repair Question

Intermittant spark cylinders 2-3


i have a 1993 mit. eclipse 2.0 non-turbo and im getting intermittant spark on cylinders 2 and 3.i have already changed the computer, coil pack, and power transister module(all used parts from wreacking yard) its always when i first start the car this problem occures. once the car is started it never fails. when it does fail if i try long enough the spark will come back. any ideas???

Have you checked the crank and cam sensors?

since 1 and 4 fire at same time is there 2 outputs from the cas

There is one output for 1 and 4 whreas 2 and 3 has another. If the sensor gears are faulty, they could miss when at 2 or 3.

You're welcome.

Check the gap between sensor and sensing gears. Look for uneven/wavy movement of the sensing gears and chipped teeth.
