1993 mercury cougar
1993 mercury cougar has check engine light on and no signs of problems! How do i find whats wrong without paying a thousand bucks on parts? The auto parts store said they cannot put it on the computer cause it was too old! Please help me i dont have enouph money for too many new parts.

Well you will want to know what is going on, my advice is to go to a mechanic and just have them run the code. Since it is an OBD-I they should be able to figure it out. This shouldnt be too expensive. When you find out what it is post it here, someone will try to help you from there.
