I have a 1993 Jeep Cherokee with a straight 6 cylinder, 4.0 Liter engine. I replaced the starter last summer. Everything seemed to be working fine, when 2 weeks ago the replacement starter went out. So I replaced it with another starter... That one only lasted 5 days. What could be causing the starters to go bad so quickly?

Check voltage and ground circuits for the starter. Do a voltage drop test on wiring circuits. You might try a higher quality starter if you haven't already? Could be engine mechanical condition putting too much load on starter, can you turn the cranklshaft by hand?
