What is going on with all the smoke coming out of my engine bay?

I just bought the car and when I cranked it up, after about 10 seconds, smoke started to come up out from in-between the cylinder head and what I think is the manifold. (Looks like it atleast) I bought the car for very cheap from my grandfather and I really need it to work so I can get to work and at this point I really have no other option but to get it fixed.
I drove it down the road and pulled over to check and it hadn't really gotten worse but enough to where it bothered me. I waited for it to stop smoking and twisted the oil cap off the cyl head and smoke came out of it. Please let me know what this could be. Also I think My grandfather may have overfilled the oil if that makes any difference.

Check and correct the oil level if it is over filled, is there any loud nose with the engine running, like an exhaust leak, and is there any sign of oil leaking onto the exhaust?

There is a humming sound coming from around the air filter, and no noticeable smoke coming out of the tailpipe
