93 Ford Probe GT my gauges went crazy radio went off car died when I parked it. Restarted after an hour with little battery on gauge then ran down again quickly then died. Do you think this would be the battery or alternater?

Measure the battery voltage with an inexpensive digital voltmeter. It should be near 12.6 volts when it is fully charged. If you find near 12.0 volts, the battery is good but discharged. 11 volts or less means there is a shorted cell and the battery must be replaced.

Measure again while the engine is running. You must find between 13.75 and 14.75 volts. If it is low, suspect the generator or voltage regulator.
