On a 1993 ford explorer with 121000 miles, what are your thoughts on a "differential flush"?

What is the difference between oil and "high mileage" oil? Not sure what the benefit is.

The differential oil should be changed, yes I agree. The term "flush" seems a bit too over the top, I would just say dump and fill. Gear oil wears out just like any other oil and changing it will not hurt a thing. The high mileage oil thing could just be a marketing ploy. If you properly maintain your vehicle to the manufacturers recommendations you will see long life and the high mileage is a result of taking proper care of your vehicle. Hope this is a response that helps, let me know what you think.
