1993 Buick Regal Temperature Gauge

I cannot locate the unit that sends the coolant temperature to the gauge on my dashboard. I have the 3800 series 1 engine. I found the location of the coolant temperature sensor on the rear intake manifold that controls the ecm but cannot find the unit for the dash. I read somewhere that this unit has only 1 wire coming off of it. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't believe it has another one. The coolant temp sensor is the one that does the job you are asking about.

It is on the passenger side of the radiator. It is a small square box about 1/3 of the way down the rad on the side of the radiator
