We have replaced the radiator, thermostat, and now the coolant sensor today after having problems with the fans not coming on. So after getting the coolant sensor put in the temp gauge is past the red and the temp light is on. The plus of it is now the passenger fan is coming on every few mins. The car is not overheating but the gauge is saying that we are. What did we do wrong?

How do you know it is not overheating? Did you take the temp of the radiator? The gauge may be right. If it is, you may have done damage to the head gaskets.

A scan tool will give you the temp of the coolant to verify. Please do not assume anything here till you can verify what is happening.
