I was driving down the road and as I was going through the gears the car suddenly locked up but the engine was running, when I press the clutch in it would roll, I put it in reverse and back into 1st and it shuddered and started to go, it would only go into 1st gear and when I tried 2, 3, 4 it would make a grinding noise, I replaced the throw out bearing it was bad, after I replaces it the symptoms were the same, it makes a noise in neutral and goes away when I press the clutch pedal in, it has 1st and reverse, but when I try 2, 3, 4 it when grab the gear start to move forward and slip and start grinding, any suggestions?

Have a pro look at the trans for a synchro problem or maybe low on fluid so it's seized.

That is why is said in my reply to have apro look at it due to it may being out of fluid and has caused a synchro or seized condition
