Mazda MX3 Brakes Problem

My car would loose power when shifted from 3rd to 4th gear. Then I stopped to put air in tires n when I gave it gas to go I went about 300 yards n when I pushed in the clutch it stopped like I put the brake on & it wouldn't move when I tried all it would do is kill the engine when I eased out on the clutch. What causes this problem? Could it be that my emergency brake is causing this or my brakes locked up?

We can tell you 10 or 20 possibilities but it is not going to help you in any way. You need to diagnose and locate the source. If you suspect the brakes, set transmissin in neutral, release handbrake and push vehicle forard or backwards. If vehicle moves, it is not a brake problem.
