What do you think may be the problem?

The car has had a slight miss for the last few days, suddenly now wont run, on start up its backfireing badly, my assumtions are timing or fuel. thank you for your time. regards Paul

Bad plugs. low fuel pressure, bad fuel, loose wires, timing issues, or bad valves. Check fuel pressure and compression. See what kind of spark each plug is getting. Check the underside of the distributor cap for tracing and arcing.
