Checked for vacuum leaks with carb cleaner car begin to idle high when cleaner was sprayed on a diaphragm looking item just below carburetor. Does have a hose going to carburetor. Question what is that part and what is it for? Can it cause the truck to idle high?

It may be the hose leading to the pcv valve those are available at auto parts. Also may be the gasket that is belwo the tbi unit it is quite common for those to blow out and leak vacuum causing the high idle.
