What does this hose go to?

Hi thanks for your help. I found a hose going no where open at the end. Other end is on a canister for the exhaust emissions air pump on a 1992 Lumina z34. What does this go to? The other hose on the canister goes to the air pump

Based on which one it is, chances are it goes to the intake.

Wow that was quick. Don't know what you mean by intake. Also if
exhaust is coming out of this hose do I have a ck valve problem? Is this hose open to bring air into the canister?

There shouldn't be any exhaust from a rubber hose. Are you sure it isn't a vacuum

Delayed, I don't have Internet. The rubber hose is about the size of garden hose, has black soot from exhaust on it
