1991 Mazda 626 Repair Question

Starter or fuse
My engine will not turn over, the normal chimes ring when I try, but there is no noise at all from the engine, is it the starter? It started this morning in gear, then the clutch popped and it wont'start again, fuse or starter?

Could be the starter, starter relay, clutch switch and ignition switch assuming the battery condition and connections are good.

The answer you gave to me is vague at most, the car started in gear and then my daughter disengaged the clutch and it stalled and now won't start...the battery shows full power via the dash, chime alerts, and headlights, but the engine will not make a noise indicating that the starter is going out or has completely failed, and before I begin to purchase auto parts, I'd like an idea of how and where to begin.
