I have a 91 Buick Park Avenue. We have a problem with it shutting down after running for a few minutes. We change the coil pack, the fuel pump, plugs and wires and it still shuts down. What else could it be?

Any applicable mil codes? Does it restart quickly? If it cranks good but doesn't restart quickly, you can visually check for spark at the plugs and use a gage to check fuel pressure. Maybe an intermittent rpm signal?

You can check mil codes yourself.

After 5 or 10 minutes it starts back up. There is one thing that I didn't change was the ignition module. Would that have an effect?

When it stalls, if it cranks ok but won't start. Have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the spark plugs. You pull a spark plug wire loose, if the wire is hot use gloves. Use spark tester in the plug boot, ground/touch metal part of tester to metal part of engine. engine cranking, watch for spark.

Then use a noid lite on fuel injector electrical plug. If you have spark and injector pulse, I don't think it is the ignition module.

To check for mil codes. You use a jumper wire between A & B terminals at datalink connector. Tyrn the key just till the dash lites come on, no further, the mil starts flashing, you count the flashes to get the codes. Your looking for two digit codes. Let us know about the codes?
