BEFORE TROUBLE SHOOTING

†Check the No. 1(10A) fuse in the dash fuse box; No. 22(15A), No. 24(7.5A), No. 35(30A) and No. 36(30A) fuses in the underhood relay box.

†Check that the warning light comes on for about 6 seconds when driver's door is opened and ignition switch is turned on. If no warning light comes on, check for an open circuit or blown bulb.

†Move car to quiet location where you won't be a road hazard. Drive car between 10-15 MPH, lean forward against shoulder belt and abruptly apply brakes, not hard, just enough to dip the front end. You should feel the belt lock as front end dips. If shoulder belt locks, belt locking mechanism is working.
