You say you have fuel, you can hear the pump running and cycling with the ignition on, do you have injection pulse? Are the injectors firing? What is the colour code on the wire? The thumb nail pic will not enlarge for me for some reason.

Not sure what injection pulse is, how do I check if injectors firing do I pull one out and wind over.(Am a backyarder dont have access to fancy equipment)No color code on wire looks like the bloke I got it off has put it in, if your facing the motor the wire goes all the way round to the right side somewhere near inlet manifold. Thats all I remember when I pulled the motor out. Can I use the same ecu.

You should be able to feel the injector click in you hand, crank it over and feel it, it should click open and closed, crank it for a good few seconds so you get a few pulses to check.

Do you have a test light? If so check for power at injector, unplug one injector place a paper clip or small split pin in each terminal, connect test light across terminals and crank over, do you have a light, does it blink?

If you have this across the injector terminals, the pulse is ok, you do have spark? Has the distributor been turned at all? Pull the plugs and make sure that they are not just all fuel fouled this will stop it from running, check the map sensor on the fire wall, passenger side with a black vacuum hose going to the manifold, recheck all connections and vac lines, do you have spark at the coil lead and at the plug leads?
