Hi there!
I need assistance something badly!
I have a EA Ford Falcon 1990 and I have a big problem!
The other day I put in my battery, though I put the terminals on the wrong way, so positive went to negotive and neg went to positive. yes I know it was very silly!
Anyway there was smoke from the positive wiring and a noise coming form the passengers side of the motor, not sure whether it was coming from the starter motor or the electric antenor.
Though when I went to start to car I had all ingintion lights, head lights, brake lights ect: the only thing that is not working inside of the car is the radio and antenna!
The car wont turn over there is no noise of indication of the motor turning over, I had RACQ out to look at the car, they said could be the starter motor they were unsure!
the wiring to the starter motor seems fine, there was no smell on the computer in the car, no blown fuses! so my question is:

Is it the starter motor, has it been Burt out?
What ealse could have made the car not start from the terminals been place on wrong?
I need help!!!!!!!!!

You blew something-start by jump starting the starter using a remore starter and see what happens-then we'll go somewhere else.
