1989 Toyota 4Runner Repair Question

Engine noise

After I replaced blown head gaskets the engine is now knocks. Sounds to light to be a rod or main bearing, Could it be a damaged piston or wrist pin from the piston trying to compress the water?

-Discribe this knocking noise-Is it ticking/tapping/thudding or thumping ect-????

thank you for your help. this is between a ticking/ tapping noise that will become less when the engine is warm.

Sounds like valve liters problem-if its top end of engine where its coming from-
