1989 Oldsmobile Calais Repair Question

Problem with transmittion shifting
When cold the transmittion shifts at 35 and 55 when run a couple of miles it shifts at 28 and 35 which is ok it also shifts hard. olny has 58000 miles

have you changed the fluid lately. it sounds like valve body sticking.

i have not changed it yet i am going to change it this week the fluid is clean and not burnt, it looks ok

i changed fluid and filter it still does the same as before, no change

ok, the it is time for a visit to a trans shop for an opinion for the failure. it may have to be removed to inspect.
