Unplug cable at transmission by twisting the rubber grommet to release the clip locking the cable into position.
Remove the meter cluster external panel.
Remove meter cluster, unlock the cable disconnect.
Pull cable out from firewall after attaching a string to it for pulling in the new cable.
Reverse procedure for installation. Ensure the cable runs smoothly without any abrupt turns or kinks.
When plugging the cable into the transmission, ensure it locks with a clip. You need to align the cable tab if it does not click in easily.
