Hi on 24 May 2014 my husband noted the oil light on the dashboard, stopped at garage to check on it, accordingly topped up oil. He then noted smoke from the exhaust and the van started jerting but managed to drive home and park. He now needs to take out the OIL PUMP!Kindly advise where is it situated?
Kind Regards
Tammy

Where does he get the idea that the oil pump is bad? Has he used a mechanical gauge to verify oil pressure? How low did the oil level get? Does he know there is no permanent internal damage? I don't know what this engine has for mileage but I seriously doubt it has 600K.

Good day

Thank you for your advice. Accordingly it was not the the oil pump if
which has been replaced and us a good thing.

The problem was the TOP GASKET that was cracked.
