TRYING TO PUT A NEWER ENGINE INTO AN OLD BODY
1996 Ford Courier • 275,000 miles
Trying to put a 2000 Mazda bravo engine into a 96 ford courier the new engine has an electronic angle adjuster on the crank cam whereas my old one was all mechanical. Will this work without an onboard computer or am I asking for trouble?
Asking for trouble. completely different control systems. major undertaking.

No bypassing. why dont you use the donor engine like you wanted but you have to change over everything from your to the donor. lot more work but worth it,
May just have to do that. Was hoping for a quick fix but looks like a rebuild. Cheers for ur time.
No re build, just change overs.
