Chevrolet Silverado Engine Problem

You may not have one depends on what tranny you have. So if you would provide engine and tranny type ie-th350, 400 or 700r4(overdrive tranny). with that I will get the answer for you. Also what is it doing?
383 stroker but still have the stock tranny in it was a 350 not sure what trany it has but it dose have over drive, drive, 2 and 1 in that order it will go in park and reverse but no other ones every now and thin it wil shift in to one but right back out i need a quick easy and cheap answere lol
Ok so a 350 block, so on the trans is there 13 or 16 bolts that hold the tranny pan on? If 13 then does the pan look like the state of Nevada (meaning mostly square with one corner cut off at an angle)? I am not sure I understand the problem but thats ok one thing at a time.
yes its 13 bolt and it will go in reverse but no other gear
Ok with 13 bolts it is a standard 3 spd non overdrive tranny. So with that I need the shape of the pan it is either a th350 or th400.
Not with a 13 bolt pan. It would be a th350 or 400 and neither are overdrive sorry. It would have to be a 700r4 with 16 bolts to be overdrive and then it would be electric lock out on the converter and such. I am not trying to argue with you but that it what was offerd in that year with a 13 bolt pan. Here are pics of them below ok. The pics are th350 then th400 then 700r4.
