Car dies

I have a 89 buick regal 3.1 that starts and dies wont idle. I have no codes or check engine lite. I tried a used computer, when I tapped on the original computer it ran, with used computer wouldnt run and tapping on it didnt make a difference.

Put the old one back.

Check fuel pressure. It should be 38-45 lbs

can you keep it running by giving it gas?

Fuel pressure is 40, yes but if you let up on gas going down road it dies. Have to keep it at 1200 rpm to keep it running if you let up it dies. There is a code for rich condition. The 02 sensor goes up and down like it should.

Sounds like an idle control motor on the throttle body.
