Starter grinds of the teeth?

I instaled a 2.6L mitsubishi front wheel drive engine in a rear wheel drive truck. Moter runs great but starter only lasts 3 starts. Im sure its a flywheel problem. What do I do? I cant seem to locate a frontwheel drive flywheel.

Did you measure the size of the original flywheel as compared to the new one? Seems the starter is not matching. Did you check if the number of pinion gear teeth is correct for the flywheel?
