My truk will not go over 60 mph and seems to have minor backfires in intake only when trying to do or go over 60 my truck runs fine with no check lights on. It is a 1986 with auto trans please help

Check for an excessive backpressure in the exhaust, fuel pressure if its within specs and test the throttle position and mass airflow meter-
