Backfires and dies
If i can get my truck to start it will run great for awhile, no misses or pinging but after awhile when you down shift or put it in neutral it will backfire and die then it won't run for a long time. eventually it will start again and do the same thing.

Symptom indicates a possible fault with the ignition coil. You need to check what is missing causing the non starting. Try the link below.
