Tapping starter

Had to tapp the starter to make the vehicle start I bought a new starter and I have have the same problem all the wires are nice and tight.

If the starter is a rebuilt unit, get it replaced with another.

If the wiring has a problem, tapping the starter would not work.

Very true I just like to make sure it has power before condeming it. When the starter is inop make sure there is power to the smaller black and white wire at the starter with the key in the start position.
