I have a 1985 Ford Bronco II, 6-cyl (manual transmission). While driving home from work, as I shifted into second, the car died. It didn't shudder or anything else, just acted like power was lost. Now when I try to start the car, the engine revs, but never actually ignites, acting like its not getting any fuel. However, I have tried adding fuel directly to the engine and got no result there either. I have VERY little knowledge about what to check or how to check it and would appreciate your assistance.

You will need to check for spark at the plugs, remove a plug lead and get a spare plug, hook it up to the wire and lay the plug body on any metal surface on the engine, have some one crank the engine, you should see a spark at the plug, check this first.
