1985 Cadillac Eldo Biarritz. Has parasitic battery drain. I believe I have isolated the circuit to tbe the BODY fuse. Has a consistent 30ma draw and after disconnecting all components that are powered by this fuse, the only component that I disconnected that stopped the draw was when I disconnectecd the harness that goes to the Electronic Height Sensor which is located on the chassis crossmember located just forward of the fuel tank. I have the Cadillac service manula for this car and the Height Sensor is in fact powered by this particular fuse.

I have several questions.

1) Should the Elec Height Control sensor be drawing any power while the car is off level and stationary?

2) If so how much should it draw?

3) Theoretically, this car should draw some voltage while sitting doing nothing due to things like the computers and clocks. How much voltage should a car like this draw while parked?

85 the last great year for eldorado. Max. Is 50ma no more. Is the battery going dead? If u lean on the back bumper and this voltage draw goes away this is normal. To get rid of this I would loosen the 10mm bolt on the height sensor and adjust it up then tighten. This will solve that draw. Gl
