1984 Ford F-250 Repair Question

Replaced head gaskets, timing chain and gears, its still wont start..what should i do now

I replaced the head gaskets, timing chain and gears, #1 piston top center tdc , new distributor, new ignition module , has spark,keeps back firing through carburetor, what should i do besides move the distributor?? anything will help, this truck is my work truck... thank you.

When engine piston no.1 is on its compression stroke/TDC the cam and crank sprockets should align to its markings as indicated in the repair manual and the distributor ignition rotor is pointing to no.1 cap tower its all set to go and should fire up-Backfiring sounds like the valve timing is off or ignition wires are misrouted
