1983 Pontiac 6000 Repair Question

Rough riding
1983 pontiac 6000 car would crank but give it gas and cuts off mechanic worked on carb now when the car gets hot it spits and sputters doesnt want to run what could this be

Still sounds like a carby problem, not a lot of mechanics these days know carbies, i think that you need to find an old school mechanic to sort this out.

Check the power valve, main metering and accelerator pump-have your mechanic check these things out-so much of the Carby feedback system

thanks to you both i dont know much about cars but i figured it was still the carb doesnt the mechanic have to fix it he has already been paid

Yes indeed he should or give you a partial re fund on labour.
